Reasons to be cheerful - Safe Local Services’ Wellbeing Event

wellbeing event

THERE was plenty to smile about for Safe Local Services members and guests at a recent event to help mark this month’s International Day of Happiness.

Speakers representing services spanning professionals from health and happiness to food and finance were among those taking centre stage at Peterborough’s first Wellbeing networking event.

The day-long event was held at the Peterborough Greyhound Stadium, and welcomed visitors from across the local business community.

An exciting and thought-provoking packed timetable of diverse demonstrations and displays by SLS members included talks by accountant Polly Leep of Leep Financial, Keith Truman from Tru Life Choice Hypnotherapy and Chef James Birchall.

Safe Local Services recently celebrated its official launch, and this was the business’ first large scale networking event.

Director Eileen Le Voi said: “It was a fantastic event which received overwhelming support from our members, but also the many people from around the Peterborough area who joined us throughout the day."

“It was very apt that we should hold our Wellbeing Peterborough event on the same day at the International Day of Happiness. We hope that those who attended went away not only with some valuable information and tips about boosting their own wellbeing, but also with a big smile of their face.”

Safe Local Services – which offers recommended services from accountants to dog groomers and dentists to website designers – will seek to build on the huge success of its sister company, Safe Local Trades; which has attracted over 12,000 positive reviews.

Eileen added: “The aim is again to provide consumers with professionals by offering peace of mind when instructing a service.

“Each service has been vetted, have their own profile and a chance for consumers to leave their own feedback and reviews. We have found over the past ten years that consumers trust and rely on our recommendations.”

Spaces for services will be limited to a first come first served basis, and anyone keen to be featured on Safe Local Services within the PE postcode can register their interest now at
